LICENSE: FlexNet Licensing error: -83

QUESTION

I am trying to register the Keil MDK on my PC using the FlexNet Publisher license. But in the license management window, I see the below error message:

Version of vendor demon is too old
FlexNet Licensing error:-83,147

What could be the reason for this error message and how can I resolve it?

ANSWER

This message typically appears when the FlexNet Publisher license server is too old. Customers should always use the updated FlexNet Publisher binaries which can be downloaded from Download FlexNet Publisher webpage.
