µVISION: Stopping Build When Warnings Are Detected

Information in this article applies to:

  • µVision Version 2.20 and later

QUESTION

My project must compile and link with no warnings. The µVision IDE stops at errors but not at warnings. Is there a way to stop the build process on warnings?

ANSWER

Yes. You may change the Stop on Exit-Code options in the Properties dialog to stop the build process when a warning occurs.

To change this setting, click on a file group in the project window and open the Options dialog in the context menu. Then, under Options - Properties - Stop on Exit-Code select Translator Warnings (Exit Code >= 1).
