µVISION: Pack Installer Reports "Cannot Connect to Server"Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:
SYMPTOMAfter clicking the Check For Updates button in the toolbar, Pack Installer gives the following error: Check for updates error: Cannot connect to serverhttp://www.keil.com/pack/ - Please check your internet settings CAUSEThe Pack Installer attempts to ping the distant pack-hosting server, but ping is blocked by a security feature on the local network. RESOLUTIONDownload the attached update to the Pack Installer's executable (V1.3.36.0). The ping feature is removed in this version. Extract the file, and replace the executable in the MDK installation. Default location is C:\Keil_v5\UV4\PackInstaller.exe. Alternatively, user can check for updates by going to the pack section of the Keil website to download a specific pack. To install the pack, use the Pack Installer's File => Import feature. STATUSMDK v5.23 or newer versions contains an updated Pack Installer to resolve this issue. MORE INFORMATION
