µVISION: Adding support for QN9020Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:
SYMPTOMKeil MDK supports NXP's QN9020 device, but I cannot find an entry in the legacy device database or find the device listed in the IDE. How is the QN9020 supported? CAUSESupport for the QN9020 is released as a custom device database (CDB), a format later replaced in Keil MDK version 5-style projects by software packs. Software packs can update the new device database to improve the visibility of device support. RESOLUTIONDownload the QN9020DK released by NXP. After running the setup executable, it will prompt to install a device database into Keil MDK, in a dialog titled, "QN9020 Device Database for IDE". Set installation path used for Keil MDK (default: "C:\Keil_v5"), and click the "Install" button. When starting a new Keil MDK project, in the dialog called, "Select Device for Target...", chose the "NXP BLE CPU Database" from the dropdown list located at the top of the dialog. Then the QN9020 will be available for selection. STATUSNo device family pack is planned for the QN902x series. MORE INFORMATION
