ULINK: Event Statistics Window shows unknown Energy value

Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:

• MDK v5.25 or later
• ULINKplus debug adapter

SYMPTOM

When using ULINKplus with Power Measurement turned-on, the µVision Event Statistics window usually shows the electric charge, the current and the voltage for each execution slot. In some cases, only Q=unknown is shown instead of these values.

CAUSE

One reason might be that µVision does not have correct timestamps to measure the power consumption for the execution slots. This may happen if the Event Recorder RAM buffer is not located in non-initialized memory.

RESOLUTION

Locate the Event Recorder RAM buffer into non-initialized RAM as described in the µVision manual (step 5).
