µVISION: µVISION Shuts Down Suddenly when starting the Debugger

SYMPTOM

When I recompile the second time and start debugging, then µVision stops with a windows error message and all windows are closed. What could be causing this crash?

CAUSE

This problem is related to Keil MDK 5.25 and a default screen layout file which is incompatible.

RESOLUTION

Install a later released version of MDK, as the problem is fixed since Keil MDK 5.26 pre-release.
