µVISION: Unable to Build Individual Groups

SYMPTOMS

In µVision, when I build a group all of the groups in my target are built. Is this a bug in µVision?

CAUSE

You cannot build individual groups. When you choose 'Build' or click on the Build button, you are actually building the target, so source files in all the groups are translated. This is the way µVision has been designed to function.

RESOLUTION

If you want to build different sets of source files, then you should create a target for each set. A source file may be included in more than one target. You may then build individual targets.
