Many Keil Software products are available with a Floating-User License. The floating license allows a product to be used on several computers by several different developers at the same time. Each installation of the product requires a License ID Code (LIC). The LIC is a personalized serial number that is obtained via e-mail during product registration.
Obtaining a License ID Code (LIC) for a Floating-User License:
- Add Product...
- Selects a Floating License File that was created by the Floating License Administrator. After the Floating License File is selected, the License Management page on the Keil web site opens. Here, you must enter the requested information and submit the form. You will receive an e-mail containing a LIC for your product.
- Add LIC
- To activate your product, enter the LIC into the New License ID Code (LIC) input field on the License Management page in µVision. Click Add Product to activate the product on your computer.
- Check Out...
- You may check out a license for an extended period of time. This is useful when you will be traveling with a portable computer or when you will not have network access. You must specify the automatic return date when the license will be returned.
- Check In...
- Return a floating license which was previously checked out.
- Used By...
- List the current active users of the software product.
