Once you have successfully generated your application you can
start debugging. After you have tested your application, it is
required to create an Intel HEX file to download the software into an
EPROM programmer or simulator. µVision3 creates HEX files with each
build process when Create HEX file under Options for Target
— Output is enabled. The FLASH Fill Byte, Start and
End values direct the OH166 utility to generate a sorted HEX
files; sorted files are required for some Flash programming
utilities.
You may start your PROM programming utility after the make process
when you specify the program under the option User — Run User
Program #1 as explained under Start External Tools.
