Installation of PC-lint

To install PC-lint, run the PC-lint_v9.exe installation program from Gimpel Software. Follow the instructions of the installation program and use the following configurations:

• Destination Folder: you may either choose C:\lint (the default) or C:\Program Files (x86)\lint.
• As PC-lint configuration files are already provided as part of the µVision installation, you may disable the option I want to run the configuration program now.

After the installation program completed, you should check if patches are available for the lint-nt.exe. Depending on the version of lint-nt.exe, download and apply the latest patches that are available at www.gimpel.com. Note that you must use Run as Adminstrator when you start the Windows command prompt for execution of lpatch.exe.

• To run PC-lint from µVision, no PATH variables are required. All relevant PC-lint configuration files are already part of the µVision installation.
