Device Database
The dialog File - Device Database allows you to modify characteristics and default settings of devices.
- A classic Device List is available for C51, C251, and C166.
- Modify devices as explained in Customize or Add Devices.
- Search
- Enter a string to search for a device. The device list is narrowed while typing the letters.
- Database
- List of supported CPUs as defined in the currently selected database. If more databases are detected, µVision asks you to specify the database prior to entering this dialog.
- Vendor
- Manufacturer of the device.
- Family
- Device family of the selected device.
- Device
- CPU name of the selected device.
- Description
- A short description about device features.
- Options
- Configuration parameters, as described in C. Device Database Parameters, for the development environment.
The following actions are not applicable to devices created from a Device Family Pack.
- Add
- Inserts a new device to the selected database.
- Update
- Updates the changes made to the currently selected device.
- Remove
- Deletes an entry from the database. No waning is issued! The device is deleted immediately.
