Configuring the Editor

The editor is delivered with standard default settings configured to suit most development needs. As such, the editor integrates keywords that are associated to file types, shortcut keys for various commands, and code templates that can be used for programming. The configuration settings can be modified to fit the personal needs:

• General editor settings are configured in the dialog Edit - Configuration - Editor.
• Shortkeys are defined for a set of menu commands in the dialog Edit - Configuration - Shortcut Keys.
• Individual file characteristics are set in the dialog Properties.
• File types are associated to file extensions in the dialog Project - Manage - Project Items - Folder Extensions.
• Colors and fonts are set for various file types and windows in the dialog Edit - Configuration - Colors & Fonts.
• Keywords are modified and associated to file types in the dialog Edit - Configuration - User Keywords.
• Templates associated to various file types get defined in the dialog Edit - Configuration - Text Completion.
