The dialog Memory Map allows specifying memory areas for
data storage and program execution. You can also configure the memory
map using the command MAP.
µVision maps all address ranges when loading an application. In
most cases, it is not required to map additional address ranges. Only
memory areas that are accessed without explicit variable declarations
need mapping. For example, memory mapped I/O space.
Open the dialog with Debug — Memory Map….
µVision uses the memory map to verify that programs do not access
invalid memory areas. For each memory range, you can specify the
access method: Read, Write, Execute or a
combination of those.
